New Spawn

yea my sister helped my jar up all my 8 week old ct babies, there were a few more than i thought, 23 in all.
now i hope to spawn a green/royal blue hm pair, but forest looks so out of place in the spawn tank, and keeps chasingthe filter tube instead of looking to make a nest, silly boy.

if Forest keeps being a dork I really want you to try Spaze and Ophelia next, I think theyd make some REALY pretty marble babies.

hola! yep after the inital god what am i doing here forest settled in great is now making a big bubble nest as i speak,, ,, little bugger is lording over his big tank like he is the emperor of the world!
spaz had a big booboo on his lip from the girl i think i want to have him heal up a bit first

ok ok i will try to get new fishey to come over with the camera! its just that the boyfriends camera phone cant get the babies in focus correctly! they ither look like blures or you cant see them at all.

yea they spawned, i think, anyway i put the female back in the chimny as he was chasing her away from the nest and didnt want her near it,, will be a bit before i can actually see if there are eggs in it because he is putting so many bubbbles in the nest now its a inch think and i cant see if he covered up any eggs.

grrrr last night i let them out again to see if they had spawned or not,, and boy did they go at it!,, there were hundreds of eggs, and thats just what i watched! they were still at it at 2 in themorning,, so when they were done i just put her back in the glass chimney cause i was sooo ready for bed,, and now this morning i think he ate most of the eggs!!!! i cant tell if there are any left at all.....
this so sucks cause they beat the crap out of each other at first and it will probaly be a month or two at least till i can try them again,,, dad is in there now,, i just hope he didnt get them all,, but i somehow doubt it!!!!!! i dont know if it was cause he could still see her or casue it was his first time............

ideally the female needed to be removed from the tank completely but i guess you already know that this is the reason he prob ate them, hope there is some left for you though, good luck

yea i was sooo wrong! he didnt eat the eggs he just made the bubble nest bigger and covered them up! ther are about 50 little dot in the nest now,, and he is being suck a good dad, hasnt move fromthe nest in 48 hours and is real quick to pick up the babies when they fall yea me!!!
