Here's my new set up :D It's a 20 gallon tank split in half, so I can have 2 spawns going at once. The tank is filled about 6-7 inches, so far its working out great, let me know what you guys think! :D :D

not bad, i like your idea of a home made devider, looks like a carrier bag taper over a wire frame.what are those bottles in the corners for? may being a little stupid here, but im curious.what are you going to do with all they fry?looks a good set up though, :good:

looks like no filter? with the fry you'd be good with a small sponge filter so that the water doesnt go too yucky.

Actually its a home made glass divider, I just taped a plastic bag over top of it so that the males couldn't see eachother.

The bottles are my makeshift chimneys, I cut the tops and bottoms off of water bottles so its a hollow funnel, its to put the female in while the male builds his nest, so that he can see her and sense her but not get to her until he has a nice nest and shes all barred up with a big belly full of love :D

The fry will go into my 20 and 29 gallon growouts, and then I'll sell them, online and I have plenty of LFS's around me that will take some if need be. But the pairs I'm spawning are very high quality, imported from thailand, so *fingers crossed* I won't have too much trouble finding homes for the young ones :D

No worries, I do have a sponge filter, just need a new sponge, but we have 3 ft. of snow on the ground right now and its still falling  So I'm going to go get a sponge in a couple days when I can actually get out of the driveway, lol, and I'll add the filter then. :good:
