Hi all

Im wanting to buy an RO unit for my marine tank that im setting up.
The tank is only 20gallons so i dont need the biggest unit in the world(i dont think).

Iv seen how they range in GPD, would a 50GPD break down to just over 2 gallons per hour or does it not work like this?
As it would only take an hour to run off my 10% WC water then?

In the summer, yes, in the winter, no. Although I'm not sure how cold you guys' water gets in the winter.

Cheers for the reply Skifletch.

Im looking at an RO-MAN 4 stage 50GPD unit.

Would you think that this would suffice my needs??

great stuff!

Well thats another thing added to the list of "to buys".
I think one of the hardest things when setting up a new tank is picking which hardware to buy, so much choice, and everything you do pick, your always thinking "am i doing the right thing, will it end up being no good"!?!

cheers Ski!

Also,

When plumbing these units in?

Do they get attached to a tap or are they plumbed into the main water piping? say beneath the sink perhaps?

Just wondering how nervous i am going to be when installing?
Attach to tap = no sweat! :good:
Cutting pipes beneath sink

You can attach it by whichever means is most convenient to you :). A lot of times the under-sink ones are done with the piercing fittings, no pipe cutting required. You should do whats comfortable for you though :)
