after quite a few month learning them platies are quite smart, however i have learned a key sign of stress offf most platies, Recently when i had to replace my male platy to female platy, i had realised that the fishes color had drained out , just white and a bit of orange, all spots went away, i kept him because hes peaceful anyways, but got a female just in case, over the course of a week i realised that when stressed or frightened(for atleast a few minutes) that the platy will change colors and the color returns when the encountered action leaves, why the color changes i dotn know yet but i will continue to research
