new project for the summer

I'm thinking of building a new breeding and display tanks for my discus.

At mo its a mess, there's tanks all over the dinning room, i want to neaten it up a little, and stop my wife complaning at me lol.

Have a look at theses sketches (i was board lol)

This the breeding setup, 2 * 42" * 20" * 15" tanks (207ltr/45gal) with 2 sponge filters in each.
I did want to make a sump, with weirs to pre filter on both tanks, not worth it concidering the amount of water changes i do.


This is my new discus display tank, its a 6' * 2' * 2' (679ltr/149gal), i was making a sump, but due to overwelming advice, il probably go for 2 ehimes exsternal filters, (they come highy recomended)
i also fancy one of them fancy amazon backgroungs, i would'nt mind a go at making 1.

They look fantastic, now if only you could make that discus tank a tank you could walk around, i suppose you could always move house

Naw they look great, very nice design particularily like the 6 footer.
