I was thinking about getting this Molly at the store, that's very pregnant, but would it stress her too much to get her? And if I did, would she abort the pregnancy?

Also, If I do get her, then i'm going to buy a new tank, that i'll use as a breeding tank in the future. So when I fill it up, should I use the 20% of the water from my main tank water change and fill the rest up with regular dechlorinated water with aquarium salt? Or should I add all NEW water?

i just dont want to stress her out if I get her a new tank, by having it go through a cycle.

Thanks

I've bought many female guppies who were pregnant and they had a healthy birth process. I'm sure she will be okay, although I can't guarantee it.

With the water situation, you should definitely use some of your old water in your breeder tank. It's less stressful for the fish giving birth and when you transfer the babies to the main tank when they've grown. I would use as much old water as possible... atleast 25%.

Hope this helps! :)

Yes, it does thanks.

I'm so excited for my new fry...I can't wait for "mom" to give birth.

I added LOTS of plants and gravel into the "Breeding Tank" so I hope that's good, and she wont eat her fry. That would just be so sad :(

Thanks for the help
