new platy fry

when i was doing a water change today i noticed a yellow platy fry. the female still has a HUGE belly and is darting back and forth. im sure that she only gave birth to 1 or 2. her vent is white. i think she might have trouble giving birth. but im leaving her in there with the fry, will she eat the fry? because ive read that platys dont eat their fry. i have lots of plants for the fry to hide but i dont want to lose the fry.

im pretty sure the plays will eat them if they see them and anyother fish you have in the tank will eat them so if i was you i would buy a breeding net and keep them in there.

Platies will eat fry.....I saw one of my males hovering around the vent of my pregnant female one day....he was waiting for the fry to "slip into" his mouth......

she will leave them alone for about 12 hours but after that they are little snacks to eat
