new platies

Hi, I've been eyeing this type of platies in the LFS for several days now, and finally got myself a pair with almost the exact markings I like. They have yellowish bodies, orangish tails, red dorsals with some "splattering" of red at the base of dorsal/top part of the body (which for me is just the cutest thing and what I love best about them--some of their tankmates had the red only on the dorsal) and mickey mouse markings. The ones I bought, though, seem to have a tiny tinge of blue platy in the family tree, but I'm hoping that will wash out in the later generations. Anyway, does anyone know what this color is called?

Please forgive the poor quality photos, as it was dark and they were rather shy...

PS. I have a very pregnant blue platy in there with them, is there any chance she will get impregnated by the yellow/orange male and end up with mixed babies?

I beleive they are sunburst crescent Platies. Its is hard to tell in that light. And YES, the blue platie and the sunburst(?) will breed. Platies are platies, they dont know the difference in morphs. If one is blue and male and one is red and female, the platies dont care, they simply see male and female. Lol

You have beautiful plattyies kittycat. If your male can still get the other female to have more fry than i bet you will have some hadsome and beautiful boys and girls.

I got new hifin girls:

This one came home just long enough to give birth, then she died I hope her 3 remaining fry take after her...

This one took her time giving birth (despite the fact that she looked about to burst since I got her), but all 16 babies and she are doing fine.

Once a Plattie is pregnant, it's pregnant. It can not get more pregnant.
Once this batch of fry are delivered then maybe the Orange plattie can mate with the blue plattie.
