I ordered these plants from aquariumplants.com:
-Hygrophila Ploysperma
-Baby Tears
-Wisteria
-Amazon Sword
-Ludwigia Peruensis

Will these plants ship well??

You should have tried getting a few at a time to see if your tank is suitable for them all. Just make sure you have enough nitrates and light and it shouldn't be a problem.

Make sure you check your plants for parasites. Rub the leaves and remove any snails or the like or you can use weak chemicals to sanitize them.

What kind of chemicals??

Do I just leave them in the chemical?? For how long??

Yes, I would like to know what chemicals as well.

I am in a dilemma. One pet store has a sale on live aquarium plants, but the plants are kept in the same tanks as some fish (look like tetras). Is this safe? Or can plants carry any fungus, bacteria, or any other bad things from being in with the fish?

The other pet store keeps their plants in a separate area, but is a bit more $, and the plants don't look as "healthy" (they look kind of darker), but is it safer since they are in a separate area that have no fish with them in the "holding" area?

Thanks.

1 part bleach 19 parts water, or you can always use alum, 3 tablespoons of alum to one gallon of water and soak the plant for 48 hours.

You dont want to soak your plants in a bleach solution for 48 hours, this would kill the plants. Maybe a 3-4 minute "dip" is enough.... I found out at least. Just make sure that your plants are not sensitive to that kind of treatment.

I meant for the alum, sorry didn't make myself clear. Dunno what would live after being soaked in bleach and water for 2 days. :p I think wht you have to do is soak it in bleach/water for a coupld of mins. and then take it out and rinse in some de-chlorinated water. A simple google search will get you all the answers you'll need. :)
