New Plants

Just bought some new plants for my tropical tank after last few died. 25 of them on the way for my 130L. Have doubt in my mind now though because I've read that you should have several layers of substrates all of which with different attributes to allow plants to grow. So my question is, what can I add to and established tank with 2 inches of sand substrate to allow my plants to grow healthily.

Well, if it was my tank, I would add another 2 inches of sand

Seriously, you should be fine as long as you have lights and do regular waterchanges.
