While my husband was working with trains at the local model railroad museum, I went to my favorite lfs. I looked at the plants and fish for a long time, trying to decide what else I was going to put in my tank. I saw a big CAE (must have been six or eight inches long!), a Pig-Nose Puffer (he's kinda ugly!), and a Red Devil with part of his jaw missing (probably compliments of the Pig-Nose Puffer). They had some adorable baby Angels (body size, minus the fins, about the size of a dime) and baby German Rams  They also had the Pleco I want - a Bulldog/Mountain Stream Pleco. Since I'm still trying to figure out what's wrong with my baby fishies and fighting off ich, I didn't get any fish, even though I really wanted to :( I did, however, get some plants :) I got a couple bunches of Anacharus and then some Val's and Corkscrew Val's. I asked for three or four or five. The LFS guy said he'd give me five and charge me for three. I counted 'em when I got home and I think I have at least eight (can't remember now), not including runners off of some of 'em. My LFS guy is nice :) Also found out that the store carries a nice variety of frozen foods and got some frozen bloodworms for my fishies :)

Unfortunately, it was the LFS guy's last day. He said he got an apprenticeship detailing cars (or something with cars) and he's going to get paid a lot better doing that. The fish store is hiring now and pay starts at $7.50. Of course, I got another job just before this job opened :/ But if I work there, I get a 25% discount :) It's also closer to our apt. than the job I currently have. Hmmm... The LFS guy told me that it's been nice working with me. I wished him luck with his car apprenticeship. He's a nice guy.

As you may have guessed, my fish got a treat of frozen (well, thawed) bloodworms tonight :)

Very cool. :) Leaving a job so shortly after taking it isn't always good, but resisting a fish store job, especially when it is closer...............
