Thats one great looking tank , but there's one thing that bothers me about the set up.
Here's how i'd fix the problem: Take a big axe or a big saw, and cut of that hand rail JK
yeah tell me about it. it's a rented flat so cant touch it. i cant get a front view pic or the damn rail would be right across the tank. What are your tank specs if you dont mind me asking, size, volume, lighting, and filtration.
And the secret of your success as well?.......only joking
Tank looks stunning, might give the riccia a go but its not easy to get round here [unlike slate lol we got tons of the stuff , mountains of it ] Have you tryed it on wood, i take it you would fix it on the same way?
beutiful jim, and the ricca is real easy to do and brillently effective!!!!

) )What sort of slate is that Jim?
Just when you thought it couldn't get any better!!!! Great example to us all!
) i did buy some from the LFS but it was full of iron and the water turned brown when i washed it.
great to see jimboo give gf225 some credit, would like to extend my thnak to both jimboo and gf225 for all there help! they have been invualuable

thanks, what do you mean by floaty?? i've spread mine out so should be able to send some more soon.
that says it, stunning!gf225 said:Stunning Jim - Great varieties of textures and colour.
if i had an aquarium like that, then i could die a happy man.
- I tied it to the bogwood with cotton (as i couldnt fine the usual fishing line)... It seems cotton breaks down quite easily in the tank
its 3/4 free floating at teh moment with one end still teathered to the wood...
I still havent found the fishing line.ahh i see. you could always just drop a rock on top of it. it'll root itself in time so should sort itself out. has it grown at all?
