A couple of weeks ago I picked up 2 bulbs from my lfs.They were described as aponogenten but no information of type was available although they weren't expected to be too big so I planted them at the front :blush: .At the time there was about 4cm of growth on each one.

Well they are obviously triffids and 2 weeks on they have reached the surface of my 26" deep tank and sent up several flower spikes :blink:

They are clearly in the wrong place in the tank but I like the haphazard overgrown look so what the heck lol!

It looks like Aponogeton ulvaceus, there are quite a few varieties of this aponogeton, they are lovely plants they do get very big, some of them go dormant after flowering. They can grow forty of fifty leaves.
Nice pics. Your tank looks very good, lots of excellent healthy growth.
