I ordered some panda cories last week for my Guppy tank. (I've collected panda bears since childhood and had to have some :*) ) I get to pick them up this weekend.

My question is I read somewhere on TTF (can't find now) that panda cories where harder to care for than other cories.

Is this true?

If so...in what manor?

Thanks :D

Not sure, I've never had them. I'd suspect that they have weaker immunities to stress and disease. Corydoras aren't very good in that department...

Hi motherof6 :)

Pandas are no more difficult to care for than any other fish. If you keep your tank clean and the water fresh, they will do fine.

Like all corys, they need to be kept in a group and they need a small cave or some low growing plants so they can get into the shade.

Thanks Inchworm for the comforting words!

I usually keep my tanks pretty clean and I have some live plants and clay pots in the tank. I ordered 3 so they will be in a group.

I cannot wait to get them! :kana:
