Hi, i bought my first tiger oscar at the weekend, he's a lively little fellow, i can see why they grow so fast he's always hungry  I'm thinking on getting a albino one to go with him soon. Whats the best food for a 3" oscar, can someone tell me if i can keep a green terror with 2 oscars in a 5ft 400L tank.

Pellet, frozen foods, peas, prawn anything and everything really, feed a little 3-4 times a day. If you want a second oscar best get one sooner rather than later, but be prepared that they wont get on, sometimes it works sometimes not. As for a GT I havnt kept one so cant say on them.

ok thanks star4, so theres more chance they will get on when put together when young

Normally yes, I tried putting 2 4" tiger oscars together, total disaster  lasted about 15 mins before I remove one. The trouble is you never know you may end up lucky and have 2 very placid ones, or 2 squabblers, just be ready with another tank just in case.

I had a tiger oscar in with my GTs and it didnt go down too well, At first things was fine but after about 2month it was constant fighting between my male GT and the oscar and the oscar constantly went for my female GTs too. So i moved the oscar!

I've heard of people keeping them together with no problems though, not sure about when they're adults though!
I find GTs are pretty chilled out until they get to around 6".

Oscars and GTs generally aren't compatible longterm IME, as the GTs tend to become far too aggressive

Proxo & Davo86 I've done some research and agree that they arn't a good mix. I've decided not to keep a gt with oscar and i'm just going to stick with the one oscar, i've put him in with my 8" chocolate cichlid, 6" green severum, 3 featherfin catfish, 3 firemouth cichlids, 2 rainbow cichlids and 9 tiger barbs. He seems very happy and relaxed. The tigers will have to be moved out when oscar gets bigger.
I have just bought 2 x 2"gt"s as i really like them, couldn't resist they only £2.99 each  they are in my 190L tank with 2 firemouths, 4 lemon barbs and a rainbow shark. My plan is to eventually keep the gt's in my 260L tank i'm just sorting out, hope they get on with each other when bigger
