I've just got hold of a new nano tank, it is only 25l.

A couple of questions, could I siphon off some water from one of my existing tanks when I carry out the next water change and if yes will this mean that I don't need to cycle the tank. I am also taking some of the filter media from my existing filter and adding it to the new filter.

I am also thinking of setting the tank up as a species tank with a pair of dwarf pufferfish, will they be alright in a tank this size?

Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

As long as you put filter media in the nano that is mature and full of beneficial bacteria. This would be considered cloning the tank and filter. I don't know much about dwarf puffers, but I know there is always a risk when mixing more than one.

Well, I can't convert to save my life, but puffers need approximately 5 US gallons each - Im thinking the nano is pretty small - we don't have them here, I don't think. So, I would say 1 possibly, possibly 2 if you have at least 10 US gallons.
To help with your cloning, you can add some gravel or decor from your other tank into your new nano.
Small thread hijack here - Nuke that fish is awesome!!
