New Nano Reef

i just wanted to know whether it is possible to start off a nano reef without live rock. i might be able to get my hands on a small amount of mature substrate (gravel/marble chips) but not much more. is there anything else i can do?

I wouldn't try it. The biological filter is critical to maintaining such a small marine biotope. I would wait until such time as you can afford it or make your own. SH

live rock just isnt available in india...but how can i make my own?

You can make you own but you will need some Liverock to seed it
