I recently purchased 3 fish from my local pets at home.
I put one male swordtail into my 100 L, whom of which died 1 day later, and put the corydora and female molly into my 42 litre tank,
The cory doesnt look too clever, i usually cant tell if hes alive other than when he twitches his eye, the molly is lyign on the bottom of the tank with her fins clamped, I really want to save the fish, the water was changed around 2 days before i added the fish, the ammonia and nitrite is 0ppm, the tank has been fulyl cycled for a while. I added an airstone to try and help, however it isnt really working.

What was the ph of the store to your tank.
How long did you climatise the new fish for.

What test kit are you using?
Any signs of the fish looking pale or darker in colour.
Are the fish acting listless and lethagic.
Any signs of flicking and rubbing, excess mucas, darting, erratic swimming, labouared breathing.
What does it look like when the fish go to the toilet.

I havent got a clue what the p.h was, when i wnet back a day or two later, there wasnt a tank without a dead fish & fish without a tail :|
I climatised the molly for 30 mins, 15 in bag, then 15 with half my tank water.
Im using the API freshwater kit, i have kits for ammonia nitrite, and nitrate.
I dont think she is acting lethargic... just not beign very active, and shes just lying in the sand next to the 2 cories, one of the cories is new and also doesnt look as good as my other one ive had for a while :(

I havent seen the molly go to the toilet, and ive not seen flicking or any other symptoms as of yet.

I would treat the molly and corys. it could be a bacterial infection.

Would melafix be the the best treatment to buy for my fish, they are still lying on the bottom of the tank with clamped fins.

Melafix is no good. Only good on external bacteria infections. You need an internal bacteria med like maracyn plus.

Are there any other treatments instead of maracyn plus? because i cant find it online in the uk, only from american dealers with £14 postage, Thanks

Sorry thought you was in the united states.
Anti internal bacteria med by interpet.
Good Luck.
