Got a new mollies today and just wondering if she is pregs :D

I think it would be nasty putting a fish that size in a breeding net if she is not.

I'm pretty sure she's pregnant, but she looks a little...strange. Is she acting abnormal at all? How long has the tank been set-up, and what are your water stats? Any chance of more pictures?

o yea she's very pregnant, i would expect her to have her fry within a day or 2 if not sooner.

you also should not ever ever ever ever ever use a breeding trap :D if u can find a good sized mesh net cage, you can put some fake plants on the bottom and on the top for the fry to hide in. if u use a breeding box the mother will become very stressed out and you could run the risk of loseing her, or depending on the size and population of your tank, you could just let her have them in there. good luck

I have had mollies bigger than that but i have to definately agree with guppydude and say she is pregnant. I prefer to use a breeding tank if I get into it with my livebearers. Once I see they are pregnant then I either let them be and watch or put them in a seperate tank. breeding tanks ok 4 me :D

how do you think she looks strange. I see nothing wrong at all. Even though she is very big and all. OH WELL :D :D :D

The fatness seems to extend past the normal area where you'd see it, and it just looks a little strange to me. It may just be a big batch though. I'd keep an eye on her. :)

Will do i set my beeding tasnk up on Sunday Night, ready to spawn my dwarfs. I guess the mollies get the tank now. :D
