New Member Looking For A Little Help

hello everyone i realize i'm new to this forum but im looking for a little help. 2 days ago i bought 3 rummynose tetras and 1 small threaddfin rainbowfish. i always put new fish in a small 3 gallon hospital tank befor transferring to the main tank and i noticed today that 1 of my rummynose has a big vertical gash about mid-body. it does not seem to be bothering it at all but im worried that an infection might set in and im not sure how to prevent something from happening does anyone know how to handle something like this? also i have noticed none of the tetras seem to be interested in any food i give them ive tried freezedried bloodworms, brineshrimp, flakes, tetra crisps and seems like the just don't want to have anything to do with it, any info would be appriciated thanks.

could try a pinch of salt as its a natural antiseptic

not sure tho so id wait for more replys

Melafix. Its great for small cuts and such like. Always handy to have some around too. Keep the water spot on too, regular changes, should be OK
