Whole_Tank.jpgHere's a pic of my Juwel Rio 125... let me know what u think...advice needed!!!

Thanks kewskills... any advice u can give me??? I need some better rock work, currently looking for some and I need to get some CO2 into the tank for the plants!

To preserve any CO2 in the water atm(naturally there is some), you should aim the filter 'arm' away from the surface enough to not cause it to ripple so much. Also the bubbles are going to cause surface agitation that will drive off CO2. At least you know that now before you got the CO2 going.

Glad radar just answered you as i have no clue about plants and all that stuff.

fill the negative space in the back with an assortment of tall plants. very nice though

any chance of you getting a few more clown loach in there, they do so much better in groups, tank looks great otherwise :)

yeh ficious i agree, I've started researchin types of plants to do jus that!!! I havn't got that much space left in the tank (fishwise) but probably enough for one more clown loach...do they do well in pairs??? Thanks

more tall grass, thats jungle val, right?
either way, more tall stuff, you have mostly medium bushy stuff

looking at your picture... theres something missing. tall plants could be the issue but i dont think that'd solve it. so i looked again and thought if you split the tank into 3 sections (left, middle and right), removed all the smaller rocks from the left hand side and replaced them with one bigger and taller rock (or a tree like peice of wood) but kept the plants, that may do it. also placing something simple like an amazon sword behind it or to a side of it would finish it off as these are tall broad leaved plants that provide some shade for fish.

other than those ideas, keep up the good work :good:

pink.

would be carefull about adding clown loaches, they grow very large, although social fish and playfull they can quickly outgrow a tank, i leanrt the hard way! i had 2 in my rio 125 and they grew too big for the tank and caused my other fish too become quite stressed out, would advise against getting any more.

however, tank looks really good, nice and clean and original scape, like the rock formation.... :good:

i have a rio 125 too, check out my scape
