I picked up my first 3 "Tenasserim River", Emperor Botia's today :hyper:

I have housed them in their own 25 gallon tank for now so that I can give them 4 or 5 doses of Levimasole to rid them of any internal parasites and worms.

This is their tank

is this something you do to all loaches or just Emperor Botia's, as ive just got 3 clown loaches and am wondering if i need to dose them?

Maximum size is thought to be around 6" but few have been seen over 5", these 3 are just under 4" now.

I don't levimasole all my Loaches as a matter of routine but if any start showing signs of skinny disease the whole tank gets dosed just to be on the safe side, I did dose all 36 of my Y. sidthimunki because around half just didn't seem to be growing as fast as the others and straight away nearly all the smaller ones caught up size wise to the bigger ones. One of these Emperors is showing signs of slight pinching behind the skull which could be early signs of skinny disease so they will be treated as of tomorrow.

Very nice botias. :good:

Nath1: Is your tank big enough for the clowns?

Lol just checkin. Do u know your the only person that I've asked that has had a tank big enough 4 clowns! :good:
