New lil buddy

Just picked this lil guy/girl up yesterday. Hanging in a ‘grow out’ tank till it’s big enough to possibly go in with my flowerhorn.

Naw, it’s a Texas. It’s still only about an inch.

I wish I could have cichlids, I might get some scarlet badies for my ten gallon tank and name them all after celebrities named scarlets last name, if that makes sense lol

My lfs has an adult Texas cichlids for sale. They get some very nice coloring!
