New Life Spectrum?

Got this off of Amazon. The ingrediants are

With the belief that all fish require a complete and fully balanced varied diet, New Life also contains algae meal, that consists of seaweed, kelp and Haematococcus pluvialis, a premium grade of natural spirulina, as well as a fruit and vegetable extract that consists of spinach, red and green cabbage, peas, broccoli, red pepper, zucchini, tomato, kiwi, apricot, pear, mango, apple, papaya and peach. All New Life Spectrum products also contain generous amounts of garlic and Thera A formulas contain a mega-dose of this natural anti-parasitic ingredient.

After raising alot of caca i can add to thread that i got tin based on one member going on about being great. For the price is is incredibly average and from my 50 odd last batch show no postive gain over teramin/brine shrimp. Infact alot of the fry failed to reach the previous size of their brothers/sisters but lept their great colours. Stick with normal good quilty food IMO :good:

Ah yes, I distinctly remember whilst canoeing down the Amazon seeing the native fish gorging themselves on copious quantities of spinach, red and green cabbage, peas, broccoli, red pepper, zucchini, tomato, kiwi, apricot, pear, mango, apple, papaya and peach, available in the water. Truly a sight to behold.

Oh and by the way, I've still got a gallon of snake oil if anyone wants some, only £1000 an ounce. :hey:

Its says "extracts of..." as in like the vital vitamins, minerals, and nutrients found in those fruits in vegetables. That's how all fish foods get vitamins into the food
They don't actually blend them all to together and make little fruit cocktail pellets....the food smells just like any other fish food.....that stinky fishy smell, not fruity. :nerd:

No need for such sarcasm

Cean nutrition I had good success with my marine fish they went mad for it so don't give up yet lol

sorry mate, i breed apistogramma cacatuoides they have about 30-50 fry at a time. The last 50 odd fry i used the NLS and the fish didt not benefit from my experience if anything there were smaller then usual not worth the cash for me

What formula did you use? For fry, they sell "Fry Starter" which is micro powder food for fry, and then as they get older you're supposed to switch to the Grow formula, and then when they mature go to regular food.

I bought some, but never got to try it on my fish; left it on the side and the dog knicked it and ate the lot, after chewing through the pot.

He thought it was lovely, but I can't say I noticed much difference in his colour (mind you, he is black...)

Used the fry and the grow, still cant beat fresh live brine shrimp daily with good high quality crushed flake/pellets in my experience raising fry
