I am having a hard time figuring out what I need to fix. The new growth on my swords are twisting a little, some of the older leaves too. It won't be co2. Drop checker is bright yellow. I don't have fish in yet so I have the co2 higher then normal.

I dose EI using CSM+B as the trace. I recently starting running the stock T-8 lighting along with my T-5 fixture. I wasn't sure what ferts to increase...should I increase everything?

75gallon: AquaticLife T5 HO Dual Lamp Fixture + stock T-8

KNO3- 4.4g 3x weekly
KH2P04- 1.6g 3x weekly

CSM+B- 1.1g 3x weekly on alternate days.

I have Magnesium Sulphate but don't currently dose as my water is not soft.

Thanks!

Low calcium levels would cause new leaf malformation.

Best I can come up with.

the answer is C02...

Just have a look at the distribution around the sword. Any pics?

I am going to see about the flow there, I have a nano koralia I can pop on the opposite side of the tank to help things circle better. It may also help to have the inlet tube on the same side as my spray bar. Drop checker over in that area is almost yellow. No fish in yet, so I'm running it high.

I'll take a picture in a bit. daytime pics in this room are nuts tho.

The drop checker is a yellowy green and it is over near the plants and wood. My spray bar should be on the other side of the tank, pushing the water towards the plants, the problem is that my co2 canister "holder" is screwed into the cabinet, so it's a PITA to change everything.

Here's a few picss. I do get a sway on the plants, not as much as I would like. Please excuse the debris, I haven't vacuumed this tank as I am letting it cycle a few more days while I wait on a fish order.

My photoperiod is only 4 hours. With no fish and adding ammonia, I didn't want to have an algae outbreak. As soon as I add fish, I was going to raise the time to 6 hours.

aaaahhhh, this is completely normal for developing sword leaves. It's good to get pics. These are the new submersed sword leaves developing. :good:

Great, thanks. I have a load of plants on order and wanted to make sure I had my ferts and co2 right.

Hmmm. I think there's a problem still. I got some of my new plants, and I needed to move my ozelot sword so I got an up close look at the new leaves. I took a picture... This plant has been in my tank for months and it was bought from a seller who only grows submersed. Don't mind that it's stripped, I had a lot of melt after the plant bleaching.
