New House - New Fish Room?

I'm going to be moving to a bigger house fairly soon, and am really keen to take the fish-keeping hobby a step further. I'm tempted by setting up a rack of tanks up in the end of my new garage, but it leaves with a couple of questions. How do i go about heating and filtration on a bigger scale?

My aim is to have no more than 2 tanks in the house; my 25 litre nano in the kitchen and probably a big one in the living room - about 250litres. I'd like to have another half dozen running in the garage for breeding and growing on.

Any suggestions?
