I'm just about to get my hands on another fish tank tomorrow, I've had them before so I'm not a complete newbie but I'm sure things have changed so I will have to get back up to speed.

Welcome to the forum, and back to fishkeeping! Hoping you're planning to do a fishless cycle before actually getting fish.

I was planning on doing just that until I found out that the tank came with fish!

I bought it from someone where I work, he just advertised the tank and cabinet until I spoke to him and found out that there was fish too.

I have got the whole set-up including the external filter and brought as much water as I could from the original set-up, going to get the water checked tomorrow.

As long as the filter didn't dry out, you should be all set!

No it didn't dry out,

I've had the water checked today and everything is fine, pleased about that!
