I brought a trio of guppies back to my dorm with me (in college) because they were being terrorized by their tankmates (you'll see the ripped fins in the pics). Their current "new" tank is pretty small (it's what I had on hand), but I plan on fixing them up in a 10gal eventually.

Anywho, meet the terrorized trio! My favorite is the biggest female - sorry I am not up-to-date on guppy color terms. Judging from the big girl, I should be in for some guppy births soon (I think?). At one point there was a red and yellow male in with them, so it will be interesting to see if he fathered anything. The females haven't been around any other male in months though (besides the one in the picture).

ETA: As you can tell, when I bought them I was just going by random chance. There's no specific strain or color scheme going.

NICE! The big female in the last pic looks ready to birth any day. She has boxed off, which is a great indicater. How long have you had them? How big is the tank? Also, do you know about cycling?

I stuffed the tank with plants and water from an established tank, so I am hoping to avoid a cycle. The tank is only 3gal  but it's the best I could come up with on such short notice (I was worried entire tails were going to go missing soon - there are some pretty big tears as it is). I've actually had them since this past summer, but the nippy fish in the tank with them have eaten all the babies before I've even seen them. Recently the nippers got nippier and I figured it was time to rescue the guppies. I'll probably be coming up with alternative living arrangements soon (especially if the big female has her babies).
