Hi all,

New to the forum here.

We have just brought ourself a first tank from Pets at Home (CHILDSAFE TROPICAL KIT)

Got all the items in the tank e.g. Water, Stones, Plastic PLants and have also treated the water with 1ml of treatment.

Now we just have to wait for the tank to settle down for 2 weeks before we put any fish in.

What tips do people have when first starting out

I Just have a question on how much API Tap Water Conditioner to use in my tank. It says use 1ml for every 75.7 Liters of water. Well as my tank is only about 21.6 Liliters i have just used the minimal amount which is 1ml. I wanted to know if this will be ok or do i have to start again and empty the whole tank out.

I am not planning to put any fish in until about 2 weeks but the tank is ready.

Should i check the water condtion before with a tester and also how can i top the water level up if you cannot use water direct from the tap

you'll be fine lol I don't think you can overdose on water conditioner but don't tip the entire thing in

Have you cycled your tank?
