Can i just put selver sand in tank with out washing it geting it from seapets .co.uk
allso geting a new juwel tank the rio 180 what thay like tank filter ect ect

Hi mate,
ive never heard of selver sand, but i sell tanks and there are much better tanks on the market than a juwel for what you will spend, i find the filters are unreliable usually giving most of my customers nothing but aggro, unless an external filter is used in conjunction.The light units are also one the main returns i get back from customers, and they are not cheap to replace.

If you like vision 180's then look at the new fluval 180 vicenza tank
you get an external with it, heater, starter chemicals and the lighting is T5. This lighting is allot more light efficient than the standard T8 bulbs and will generallly provide any live plants with better lighting.

just thought i would shed my view, im sure many people would say different.

If it is Silver Sand then yep thats fine, It is what our store uses in their cory, elephant nose and african cichlid tanks and it is also what i have used in mine
