Hey guys and girls thought i would join the forum as i have recently got back into the fish keeping hobby. I bought a fluval roma 125 in july and just yesterday i bought a new tank and cabinet by seashell aquariums, it is the phoenix range of tank and i love it.

Just finished setting it up and transfering my current fish over. Its a 180 litre tank and i have a aquamanta efx 300 external filter from my local maidenhead aquatics.

Really into the hobby now but still fairly a newbie. I have all real plants in the tank and list of my fish at the moment are...

7 mixed kinds of cory catfish
4 kuhli loach
16 small harlequin rasboras
4 dwarf super red gourami ( labelled up in my lfs as these)
3 mountain rock shrimp

Now it sounds a lot of fish but my tank looks empty lol now am i overstocked i dont know about stocking?

Last thing i heard gouramis have to be kept one male alone but i think all 4 of mine are males and they never bother each other they are really gracefull and peaceful. Is this normal.

Cheers guys looking forward to the forum

Nice! Plenty of hiding places for the fish and they'll love it.
And we are all obsessed here :) , well I am....

Can't comment much on the gourami as I haven't kept them myself.
Only I'll mention that the corys would rather be all the same kind than different ones to enjoy life better.
You also have a non-aquatic plant, the one with the pointy white edges. This will eventually rot. Also, make sure the rhizome of the anubias is not burried in the substrate, it will rot and the plant die eventually. It's a slow process but it will.

Is the one with the pointy white edges definitely not an aquatic plant?? I have some just like that in my tank that I bought from a LFS as aquatic plants.

They've only been in a week so can't comment on the health of them.

Definitely. I don't know what it is about (some) LFS, but they just don't have the foggiest idea about plants, and that one is available as an aquatic plant in a lot of them. As for the wholesaler who sells them..... Anyhoo, stick that one in a pot, and put it on your windowsill. (I had one too, btw).

Cheers guys, i will remove the plant and the one to the right of it which looks the same plant just all green...or is that different?
Also i will try and attach my anubias to the wood using fishing wire.
Hows my stocking level im worried im overstocked but i feel like i have plenty of room now with moving from 125 to 180 litres

I'd fix the mixed catfish first, like they said they prefer being in the same kind of group not mixed. Also you might need another 2 kuhlis for a nice gorup of 6. Maybe look at getting sand as kuhlis and corys love sand.

Haha ye oops lets the picture down..!
Update with my fish. I came home from work to find one of my peppered corys wedged between my filter intake pipe and the glass, i freed him but his barbels are all red and looks like he is cut on one side..im unsure what caused this?

Also im really currious about my 4 gouramis..i have heard males are only meant to be kept alone as they will fight but i think all 4 of mine maybe males as they are so colourful but they get on all really well. Weird lol

Guppies and siamese fighters fight usally, right? Mine dont!
