well my lfs finally have got some gouramis in :hyper: , i am trading in my two month old male guppy fry for a powder blue dwarf gouramis! i have a planted ten gallon tank with 5 zebra danios a female guppy a male wagtail platy and my fav...A rubernose pleco.

cant wait to go to the store, i am getting on the bus in 30 min. :hyper:

:shout: i dont want to wait!!!

Did you get a Gourami then

yes, i got a powder blue dwarf gouramis :hyper: , he is a beuty. Named him Elrond. he is alittle shy and has not attempted to eat so i am a little worried.

I take it you did your reading up on dwarves? They're very sickly, and tend to only have a chance of survival in a mature tank. If it survives, so much the better - it may just be the stress of being introduced to the tank. Don't be surprised if he doesn't make it though :/

**Edit: I've just had a look on your journal, the tank should be mature enough-unfortunately though dwarves are very hit and miss. Good luck, let us know how you get on.

im sorry but in your tank that has all these small fish that are always having a problem (thats how it seems) that you wrote about in your journal im not sure about th survival chance srry

opps that journal is very out of date and the tank is about 6 months mature, the gouramis doin fine and he loves to stare and swimm when he sees me. thanks for all the replys.

I am very surprised that anyone actially reads my journal, So its awsome! I will promised to keep it updated

To be honest, I just had a quick look to get a quick look at your setup etc before passing comment.

hah, no worries, although, one of my danios got himself wedged halfway into one of my fake coral reefs, and i admit i had to pull him out  and he is not doing too good, many of his scales have been torn off and he is acting very strange by heavily breathing and swimming erraticly, i am treating him. and my gouramis has ich but i am also treating him too.

When I got my powder blue pair from a place up near to Crews Hill the male came home covered in white fungus which I hadn't seen when they bagged him. I couldn't catch him to isolate him either. Anyhoo, I treated the tank and not only did the fungus go away but him and the mrs survived the whole thing, I still have them now and its been about 4 months. So fingers crossed!

TOTALLY CURSED MY FOOSH :( One of my powder blues died today!
