Hi All,

I purchased 3 Male Metallic Blue Gourami's today along with some Neon Rainbows and another BN Plec - All the fish have settled in fine apart from the 3 Gourami's - They have been acting strange and are not very active, all 3 are now just stationary in one place (one just at the top, one resting on the bottom substrate and one under a leaf) - they are just still, been like that for about 5/6 hours now. Does this happen after they travel, all other fish look ok, tested water and its all fine?

I introduced them into my tank slowly, adding a bit of tank water little bits at a time

Any ideas? - I dont want to loose them :(

What was the ph of the store to your tank, if you took time to clamatise them can't be ph shock.
Fish can be stressed when they first added to the tank for a few days,
Signs of bacterial infections are being pale or darker in colour, being listless and lethagic, resting on the bottom of the tank to onside, or resting on plants, sometimes not eating.

Cheers Wilder, it may just be the shock of the move, to be honest, i didnt ask about the PH of the lfs :( ill call them tomorrow to find out what it is. The lights are out at the min so hopefully they will pick up by the morning - just feel a bit gutted, new fish and all :(

Just keep an eye on them.
Don't like the sound of them resting on the bottom as they shouldn't be doing that.

:( one was also at the top of the tank, almost floating but the correct way up if that makes sense? I sort of disturbed him, and he swam down half way, but is now just static again almost resting on the glass

How are the gouramis now as I'm worried that they might have a bacterial infection.
