Hey,

Today I got my hands on a Freshwater Snowflake Eel or Gymnothorax tile. He is in brackish water. I'm working on getting him more hiding places. He has some Rosy Reds for food. I'm pretty much clueless on things for him beyond that. I just wanted to get some advise from people that have had them before or now.

I would suggest posting about your new eel in the brackish section. You will get a lot more responses there. :good:

Rosy Reds are an awful food. Check out nmonks post on feeding live fish (it's either in the oddballs or predatory section) for a more detailed explanation. Try and get it eating a varied diet of dead fish and prawns and such.

Watch the temperature of the tank. CFC has had issues when tank temps rise and the females seemingly trying to spawn, and thus getting eggbound but unable to swim up river to lay the eggs.
