Ok, so I had like two other threads that mentioned these guys, but I'm just so happy with them I wanted to show them off in their own thread :hyper:

Like I've said before, they are so unbelievably small. I'm guessing they're only a few months old at the most. The female is definitely the youngest, with the CT a close second. The HM is still very young as well, but has coloured up more/developed more than the other two. But still, as has been said - just means I get to see them grow!

Female HM:

Black Orchid CT[I don't understand why he looks so big in these pictures, he looks like a miniature in his tank, well you can see the size difference from the gravel, which is the small roman gravel, and plant]

Halfmoon[Boy does he need to grow into that dorsal fin :p ]

Now, the only thing I'm puzzled about is the amount of bluey-green on that "melano" halfmoon. I know they have a shimmer of colour occassionally, but didn't think it would come out that bright on the camera..

Anyhow, thats my new three who I'm proud to flash ;)

Very nice bettas.. I can see why you are so happy with them.. They are stunning especially the black orchid he has a sexy tail.. :good:

wow!!!
stunning!
love that girl!
are you breeding yours?

Yep the melano/green HM will be going with the female hopefully. Since I was expecting a pure melano, and not an irredescent colouring on him, I'm not going to know what the fry will turn out like but thats all part of the game eh!

Won't be planning a spawn til at least the end of January, the female is definitely far too young at the moment.

Will get updated pics tonight - they're finally flaring, building nests and being good boys. You will all have to excuse the tannin in the water however, adding IAL to their tanks to get them stimulated in building nests :good:
