I saw this fish (actually it was two) at the lfs. I usually research my fish, before adding but after talking to the guy I decided to go for it. I love them but the problem is now that I'm trying to do the research I can't find the exact fish I knew I wouldn't remember how to spell it when I got home. He said there was no common name. The LFS said he was related to the cichlid. and was some kind of Apisto something or other. They are a pale yellow gold, with balck markings. He said you could sex them by the front dorsel fin the third one being fatter and longer on a male. He said full grown the would be 2-3 inch and that they hide but not in rock caves but in plants. They remind me of a pale marine clown fish the way they move. I hope someone can help. All the scientific names are really hard to keep track of.And I really like to research a breed. They are darn cute and we love them anyway, even if we have no clue!!
Thanks

Apistogramma. Do a google, you should find plenty.
