hey guys i'm wanna get some new fish for my tank could you's suggest any that would get along with the ones currently in my tank

pat :sly:

Hmm, on top of needing to know the size I wanted to ask you how you get on with 2 rainbow sharks? These are only supposed to be one per tank because they are very aggressive with their own kind and even other shark shaped fish!!

Also, do you know clown loaches should be kept in groups of 3 or more, but you'll need to have a pretty big tank for that.

I have tried to search for your tank online and I can't find much about capacity but I have read that it takes 2 18watt bulbs which leads me to belive it must be a little over 2 foot long. Is this right?

u can have 2 rainbow sharks in a tank if it is wellm planted and big. and i got 3 clowns in a 2 foot and they dont need alot of space at all

lol

3 clowns in 2ft tank?!!! I am worried about having 4 in my 5ft (320l/71UK/84USgallon) tank.

Do you know they get to at least 8"? We recently saw one in a 4ft tank on eBay thatwas 11".

would you like me to go on?

I do not agree with your rainbow shark assessment. I had mine in my 5ft tasnk which has the floot covered in wood and caves, with javo moss, java fern and 2 3ft tiger lillys and mine chased my siamese flying foxes around all the time.

i still dont like the idea of 2 rainbows in any tank either...unless its massive... and i mean like 8 foot or something. and im sure your brother doesnt have a tank that big does he?

I think you have a problem Pat. As you saw above cloan loaches get very big and need company of their own kind. Rainbow sharks are aggressive and get to around 6" and IME grow quickly. Silver dollars are large shoaling fish getting to about 5".

Whoops. Mistook this for a thread in the newbie section.

Well, all comments about you needing more room and company for the silver dollar are sound.

Plus, you need more tetras, but your tank might not be able to support them.

Sorry!

You could get more silver dollars. Rainbow fish come in a variety of colors as well and they are peaceful. Are you looking for a school of fish, or just 1 or 2 more large fish? Cardinal tetras look great in any size tank, if you have enough of them. :D
Looks like you've got some decisions to make... ;)

Sorry,

You do know that 19litres is only 5 US gallons don't you? Did you not see my above posts and links about silver dollars? Cardinal tetra also need to go into a mature tank of at least 6 months. Most rainbowfish get to reasonale sizes and need to be kept in groups of 3+.

I think you need to take out all the fish except the tetra, IMHO a tank of 19 gallons, never mind litres couldn't hold them.

It's not a case of what you can put in...more what you have to take out.

ok guys i've moved the silver dollar and the loach to my brother 4ft tank
one of the shark's is now at my cousin in a 2fter

thanks for the help
now could anyone let me know what fish to get i'm after some thing colourful

just had a look and the tank is really quite (read very) small.

310(L)X250(W)X280(H)mm

at adult sizes just the Rosy Tetras and the Honey Gouramis total approx 10" of fish. Its maxed out without the shark!

YOU CANT ADD MORE - YOU'LL KILL FISH! :(
