Sorry, no pics yet. Fiance is out with the camera til next Friday. :(

Anyway, today I bought 4 male lyretail guppies. Very pretty! I got the ones with teh dots on them. I thought the had pretty markings and tail coloring.
I've been having a lot of bad luck with my mollies so after speaking with three different employees at PetSmart I decided to get 3 cremesicle lyretail mollies. 2 females, 1 male. I had that last time but the male only chased one of the females around. Both the females died within two weeks and I gave the remaining male to another lfs. This group seems to be doing okay.

I also put a black background on. Oh it looks so much better! I love it!

I'll post pics as soon I can. The guppies are very pretty.

now they are nice guppies, had a few myself loved them, as for the mollies the tend to do better in slight brackish conditions as in freshwater are more prone to disease, never had any look with them myself

What other fish do you have in the tank other than mollies and guppies?

Depending on the fish, you can add a bit of aquarium salt, When i had livebearers in my community tank, i put salt in for my mollies everytime i did a waterchange and they was great and did much better.

I always keep a bit of salt in the water. I'm not sure that is what bothers them. I think it was the 'one on one' action that stressed the females. The first female would hide all over the place and he'd be right there behind her. She died. The second female was okay for a couple days, then when he started persueing her she went on the run. He was always on her tail. She did nothing but dart around the tank with him right behind her! Poor thing. I don't think she ever got a break. I had no where else to put her at the time.

My three new ones seem to be content. I see one of the female's already has part of her tail nipped off. Urgh! Who did that?! The top part that trails off.

You can see on my signature what else I have in there. Guppies, platys, mollies, a pleco, ghost shrimp and some fry that are just thriving! So far I can tell I have a female guppy and female platy, not sure what the others will be yet. I really want more males. We love the beautiful colors they get.
