I bought a Kribensis today. One PS sold them for $3.99 and this one where I got it from sell it for $8.99—a $5 jump. Well, I wouldv'e bought one from the cheaper place, but those who by fish there never seemed to interested in Kribs, so the PS stopped selling them and they won't do special orders, even if they know they will make money.:grr: But the other store will order any fish you want—as long as it's legal in your city, state or country.

Anyway, I haven't been able to take a picture of him/her yet. It hides a lot, and when it isn't hiding, I don't have the camera ready. It's a baby—about 3/4 to 7/8s of an inch. They get up to 4 or 4.5 inches. It's a light kakhi color, but with pretty neon aqua fins and tiny gold gills. It's hungry, but isn't seeing the food, and the others see the food and they eat it all. It's gonna have to see, and pick up the pace so it can eat. It stays well below the middle and at the very bottom.

i wouldnt worrie m8 it may look as tho it isnt feeding but it will be :) only thing ya need to do is dont over feed in the hope you will see him eating :) fish are intellegent animals unfortunately some people think not

Actually, it took in all the kinds of food I put in the tank—tropical flakes, tiny crab granules and Cichlid pellets, then it spit them all back out. Is this fish gonna be finicky?

Try Frozen Brine Shrimp( real cheap, around 2 dollars( E 1). They arent that finicky, they are just shy fish and they will never turn down brine shrimp. That should start him, and then he will eat flake.

Thanks! I will look for some tomorrow evening.

So far this is the best the best I could do for now. He moves too much like all my fish do anyway.
I could only see with my bare eyes the aqua in the fins. Now I also see a blue below the aqua,
as well as a lavender middle and gold torso and tail. There's the gold, or more of an orange on part of its gill.

Nice looking Krib!! Especially since you only put it in a few days ago, they are pretty difficult to photograph, patience is a virtue :p

Thanks! I put it in yesterday late afternoon. It was like all silver when it was in the PS's tank. Last night, just moments before I took the picture, I couldn't see the lavender on its belly, but the camera lit it up and it shows on the picture. This morning I see the lavender with my own eyes. Thursday, the pH level was 6.4, the ammonia was 10, but then went to 0, and the GH was a 100 and the rest was where it should be—0 or safe.:)

Tonight's picture of my Krib's second day here. This shot is slightly clearer. He/she has come from almost no color at the store to this.:)

Looks to be a male. Tell us if his belly starts to get deeper( they usually do at one inch if it is a female). He/she looks stellar. The only reason i think it is a male, is becasue of the blue. Baby femaels are usually more bland, but we will see. I am also thinking it is a femael becasue of the rounded anal fins, and the purple stomach( males usually have red ones).

The latest picture. Here's the Krib trying to eat bits & pieces of a shrimp pellet in front of a baby Black Mystery.
This shot is as clear as I can get it until I have more time to sit around and wait for better Kodak Moments—although I have a Nikon.

My Krib has not eaten yet since I got it Friday that I can see. All of whatever I give it to eat, it turns its nose up at it and the other fish get it later on. Now what? How long will this fish live without food? Its hardiness is being put to the test now.:( All it does is act like a pleco—stays at the bottom all the time, never goes to the top.-_-
