Congradulations on the rtbs and I don't want to put the dampers on your new purchase but you seem to have lost quite a few fish..have you checked your water parameters as loosing that many fish isn't normal for a healthy tank :/

What size is your tank?
Have you seen the size of a fully grown RTBS?! They are pretty big!! They are also pretty aggressive with growth, is anythng else in the tank?

go to my profile for tank stocking and my platy died cos my guppy stressed it to death as for the male that was never realy healthy an the khuli loaches jus didnt handle the move well water parameters are fine and its mature tank
oh yea and i know all about rtbs im well prepared dont worry

Your RTBS will also probably get quite agressive towards other fish (specially ones smaller and of same colour), once mine started to bulk out (see pic below, that was 4 months ago, hes about 6" long at present and quite a bulky dude and he aint fully grown yet)) i had to move him out of my community tank and put him in another tank with a couple of Sajica (he dont mess with them).

I have found though that RTBS get on well with Clown Loaches & Blue Loaches, if you had a bigger tank you could definitely have some nice fish to accompany your RTBS.

its gona be at least 2 years till i get a bigger tank but he should be ok in the one i have but if he does get to boistrous or something i will give him to my grandad(hes been fishkeepin all his life an has a massive tank)although he already has 1 in his tank so that may be a problem i could send it back to the lfs if things got to bad or maybe even let someone on here adopt it but i dont think it will come to me having to get rid of him anyway
i love that guy :*) :* hes so cool  ive named him thor :flex:

They are beautiful fish and fun to watch, but they grow very fast from what i saw. My mate bought a smallish one from the lfs and then when i went over to see him a couple of weeks later it had doubled in size!
What is the min tank size for a rtbs anyway?
