Rather than use pH down,which is a short term measure (pH will rise after each water change), why not add some bogwood to your tank which will take your pH down on a pretty constant basis?

+1 to natural methods. Ph down has the capability and eventually will cause fluctuations which will do more harm than good. Look into the natural methods out there
