I work at a pet store and we just got a new shipment of fish in today. Since I am the "Fish Guy" I always end up taking care of the entire section so it was my job to put away the new arrivals. While putting a bag of red ryukins I saw something that was definately NOT a goldfish in the bag. For some unknown reason there were two gold weather loachs in the bag with the goldfish!

I have never seen two so different fish kept together before (except by those people who just throw random fish together in their home tanks). I have seen wild (feeder) guppies in with other livebearers like swordtails and platies. I have even seen cory catfish in with tetras sometimes but never anything with goldfish. This is a first!

Weird
I wish I worked at a LFS....it'd be good fun.
Fun little surprises like that are great ;)

Weather Loaches and goldfish coincidentally are great tankmates. I had a pair in my goldie tank and the weather loaches played peacefully with the goldfish, swimming beneath them and playing in their fins. Weather Loaches are coldwater and make great additions to a coldwater tank.

Here is a photo of the tank they were in

and here is a photo of one of the weather loaches

Great stuff! If you look closely in the top photo, you can see one of the weather loaches playing in the bubbles.

Yeah it's very common to see weather loaches together with goldies.
