New Fish Are Not Good At All

The other is swimming about but is still having difficulty. When it's not swimming it sits on the bottom of the tank. It struggles to stay in one place.

The fish in the picture (a german blue ram) looks very unwell, it's belly is extremely thin which I would have thought would be a bacterial infection. Rams are very delicate fish, there's every chance that that it was coping in the shop but then the shock of being caught / introduced into a new tank etc was too much for them.

I suppose the moral of the story is don't buy fish that look unhealthy :/

Strangely I am having problem with rams at the mo, bought them yesterday.

When i got home from work today and turned the light on I noticed that one of the rams out of 3 had white spots on him. In 6 years not one of my fish has his it and I only know what it is due to seeing fish in quaritine in fish shop because of it. I immediately set up my spare tank with fresh and current tank water and transfered all 3 in to it, as other 2 were starting to show signs of it too. When I transfering them I placed them in a jug as ohter tank was in another room, when getting to the kitchen I noticed that they were all upside down iin the jug (dead like) I put them in the other tank anyway any turn them over as they ended up in the tank upside down. I left them for a while them noticed one minute they would be rushing around the tank then the other sitting still at the bottom of the tank. I have put them some food in and going to go straight to lfs in the morning to treat them. Its so strange I just come on here to find out a bout white spot and found this post. It sounds exactly like my problem. Look to see if your fish have small white spots on them xx

Unfortunatley the second fish has now died. I'm gutted as thats the first time i've had fish die on me due to transportation. I'm putting it down to stress because they were fine in the shop, but got them home and i think the stress has got to much for them. I've had a look at them, no marks or any signs of disease. Such a shame as they were a lovely pair. Thanks to all who tried to help :good:
