Good evening all!

I have a juwel 180 tank that I have had for about 18 months now. I dont have anything fancy in the tank 2 angels, 2 silver dollars, couple of small catfish and abotu 10 tetras/ I may add a few more small fish at some point

My question is the Filter just doesnt seem that good on the tank. I say this as the water never seems realy clean. I do a regular water change, cleaning the gravel at the same time

Would adding an external filter be a better option? Are they easy to install? Which one should I go for??

Any help or experience would be great!

Thanks

I'm not an expert on filters, at all, however I have a fluval canister filter and can tell you that yes, if your water seems dirty, an external filter may help, they are really powerful and energy-efficient. They aren't hard to set up at all. They come with a step-by-step guide and it only takes about 30 mins to set it up.

I would say that you need the fluval 204 filter. But i'm only recommending this one because i have it and am happy with it. There are many other external filters that are just as good, i'm sure.
