New Dt Females

i just got 3 new dt females to go in my 30g tank
this is the first one this is my favorate



this is the second one


and this is the last one which isnt looking to good shes just laying on the bottom and swimming up for air every now and again but she sticks all her hed out the water. i think she has a problem with her gills they look like they have dried out




and then some of the 2nd and 3rd one

2 of them died i only have the first one left but shes looking really healthy.

im hopefully getting 3 more a week on monday

how did the females die - were they nipped by anyone or diseased to start with
if they were diseased to begin with you might need to treat the tank as you didnt quarenteen the fish

it would be best to check stats of the tanketc before adding new ones

How did you acclimatise them cos going by times on pics you just floated them for about 20 mins if that and then put them in the tank

fish need acclimatising properly - PH shock is a killer - and your ph wont be the same as where you got your females from

you need to be adding a bit of your tank water to the bag and slowly introducing the fish to your water not just dumping them in

i dont know why they died no bulling and now sign of desease
i floated the bag in the water for about 30mins and added a little bit of my tank water to the bag about every 5 mins

it looks alot brighter now i got some new pics but there not very good because they where on my phone and she just dosnt stop moving

She does look really sweet! Sorry on the other two, not sure what the cause could have been??
