ok I got my first piece of real driftwood with a gift certificate I got for christmas, I didn't realise how expensive WOOD could be but I told myself "you could never find a piece of wood like this out in the woods here" so I spent 15 bucks on this piece (is that over prieced it was considered a "medium" size piece) so I don't know how to place it in the tank so I've narrowed it down to two angles (out of the tank as it's soaking in hot water a couple days so my water doesn't get colored) also will this stuff change my PH a lot because it says "naturally softens water" it's malaysian wood...

also I got a bit of a better shot of my German blue ram so here he is (o yeah and this new piece of drift wood will be replacing the fake wood looking thing with the fake plants on it that's behind my ram in this pic):

thanks for the opinions guys,

Phillip

hmmm not sure how to put a poll on here so if someone could help me with that that'd be great, if not just post angle 1 or angle 2 for your vote thanks.

You got that for 15$? Around here that would be 30 or more....

awesome piece.

I love your ram!

I like both angles - doesn't matter to the fish so doesn't matter to me :p

Personally, I like angle #1, It seems like a lot more things to swim through will be available for the fish to use if it is up.

thanks guys for the compliments and the opinions I'll be sure to post pics after I get it put in the tank on saturday (giving it a nice 5 day soaking to get as much tannin out as possible)

thanks again,
Phillip
