New Dragonscale Betta

Hi all! I haven't been on here in awhile, so here's a quick update.

Finneus and Levi have both recently passed away. Finneus I'm pretty sure was due to old age, and Levi got dropsy from my sister not changing the water frequently. She didn't tell me he was acting weird until it was too late. Red is still thriving and has become one of the biggest bettas I've ever seen.

These are my two newest bettas. They still need names! The white guy is a halfmoon and the other is a dragonscale. I still need names for both of them, but am considering Draco for the dragonscale.

I'm no good with names, but I want to ask whether the 1st looks so "smudgy" in real life. I know pics. do give off the wrong impression usually.

He has grey markings that do resemble smudges against the white in the pictures. Hes hard to get a good photograph of as hes extremely active. The light tends to dull him out.

does anyone else know of a place in the uk for bettas besides betta boys?

This new guy, Draco, is so active...and he really doesn't care about the other betta at all. He's indifferent to seeing him or his reflection....I wonder if he'd do ok with a ghost shrimp or snail as a tankmate.
