About a week ago I bought another female Dalmatian Molly and for about 2 days now she hasn’t been acting herself I noticed she has a belly bulge, loves to be by the heater here and there then 1 minute she’s hiding for a little bit and then starts swimming around the tank pausing mid swim then back to swimming again and so on you turn to look at the tank and she’s hiding again :/ any ideas on what’s going on I can’t locate a gravid spot because of her colors. Can anyone suggest anything or know what could be happening and I don’t believe she’s squared off I can’t really tell and My male black Molly is constantly nipping at her belly even if he’s not trying to mate with her these past 2 days... HELP ME PLEASE I’m reading that it can mean different things

She may be stressed by the male , maybe add a few more spots where she can hide, if she is pregnant she may be stress from that too. Also she is getting use to the new surronding which is more stress. Try lowering the light to help her relax
