Hi all, I'm new to the board. It looks like a great forum with lots of knowledgable fish lovers.

I hope someone can help me with some clown fish new to my tank. They are really good at scavaging the flakes but not the snails as I hoped. I have other bottom feeders, 3 kuhli loaches and 2 african dwarf frogs that also scavange and am worried they'll be left with nothing given how aggressive eaters these clowns are. How do I get these guys to eat the snails? Isn't this their instinct?

how many do u you have and wut size of tank? it could be because they are not settled in yet

three in a 75 g. They've only been in a day and I've heard they can be pretty shy at first. These guys seem ok with vacuuming the bottom, skimming right over the snails. ugh!

It sounds like they are ok in the new place since they're already eating. Try smashing some snails for them to eat and get a taste.

aaaahhh... tks. the light has now come on! :hyper: (as far as anyone being home... well, thats a different story... ;) )

by the way... welcome to this forum phishluvr!! :hi:

Welcome, I was hoping another person didn't make the mistake putting another "Nemo" in a freshwater tank. lol..
