Looks like a perfect setup for african cichlid(im not a fan).

Did you silicone all that slate together cos I been thinking of doing the same.

i did think about that it has its pros and its cons but the biggest con for me is we will be moving in the new year and boy it would be heavy so i decided to stack them without siliconeive done a few tests and its quite sturdy (famous last words) hopefuly it will be ok

Tank's looking great - I've just set up one of my tanks as an African Cichlid tank (Lake Malawi's). Great site to visit is http/www.malawikeepers.com - great bunch of people, just like here.

38kilos of slate £9.50 so not bad infact the coral gravel cost double and a bit so i got of lightly got the slate from a local garden center
